Title: Electron Microscope Technician Personnel area: Research and DevelopmentEducation: Bachelor’s degreeExperience: 2-5 years’ experience in electron microscopy preferably in a QC/ R&D environment35.00 hrs/weekClient located in Hillsboro OR, is looking for a full-time technician to perform electron microscopy characterization during the 2nd shift and occasionally on the weekends.QUALIFICATIONS:Experience: 2-5 years’ experience in electron microscopy preferably in a QC/ R&D environmentAbility to hand-on operate Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) is required (2+ years of experience)Ability to operate Focused ion-beam (FIB) is preferred.Preferred BS Degree in STEM with basic knowledge in semiconductorFamiliarity with characterization techniques in generalExpected to work independently with minimum supervision as well as part of a team.Must be able to work on the 2nd shift most days with some weekend commitment needed occasionally.Responsibilities:The successful candidate will support R&D projects by on-time execution of SEM imaging and sample prep requests.The candidate will be expected to work independently.Communication and collaboration skills are needed to ensure maximum throughput is achieved in a fast-paced environment.Hands-on SEM experience is a must have, familiarity with FIB is preferred along with having some basic microscope troubleshooting skills.
