All positions and services now fall under the Ohio Department of Behavioral Health as we move forward in serving individuals, families, and communities across the state.What you'll do at DBH:Under the supervision of the Administrative Officer 1, this position is responsible for transporting, loading, unloading, and delivering pharmaceuticals, mail, office supplies, controlled drugs, and other materials on scheduled local and statewide routes. The position ensures timely and accurate deliveries, maintains accountability of transported items, performs basic vehicle maintenance coordination, and assists with mailroom and recordkeeping functions while operating vehicles safely in varying weather and traffic conditions.Key Responsibilities:* Operates cargo vans and light trucks to transport pharmaceuticals, controlled substances, mail, payroll, office supplies, and other materials on scheduled delivery routes.* Loads, unloads, secures, and verifies deliveries to ensure accurate transportation and accountability of merchandise and materials.* Maintains daily delivery schedules and safely operates vehicles in adverse weather and traffic conditions.* Performs minor vehicle maintenance checks and reports vehicle malfunctions or repair needs to supervisory staff.* Maintains records related to deliveries, mail, equipment, cargo, supplies, and delivery documentation while assisting with mailroom.This is an hourly position covered by the OCSEA/AFSCME bargaining unit (union), with a pay range of 5 on the OCSEA Pay Range Schedule. Normal working hours are Monday thru Friday, 5:30am to 3:30pm This position is located within our Ohio Pharmacy Services at 2150 West Broad St., Columbus, Ohio 43223.Unless required by any applicable union contract and/or requirements of the Ohio Revised Code, the selected candidate will begin at Step 1 of the pay range schedule listed above, with an opportunity for pay increase after six months of satisfactory performance and then a yearly raise thereafter.Position Qualifications* Formal education in arithmetic to include addition, subtraction, multiplication & division & in reading, writing & speaking English; valid driver's license.
