We're committed to giving children back their childhood!Job Posting Title: Hospitalist/IntensivistLocation: Dallas - HospitalAdditional Posting Details: 12-hour shifts to provide 24/7 coverage; holiday evenly split amongst the teamProvider cannot be on-call or provide any other services aside from those listed above simultaneously under any other arrangement during the provider’s 12-hour shift. This includes any existing agreement between SRC and any other entity that employs or contracts with the Provider separately to provide services to SRCJob Description: Duties/ResponsibilitiesJob DescriptionProvide exceptional medical care as a staff physicianProvide high level pediatric acute and critical care clinical services to patients including, but not limited to:Performing and recording history and physical examinationsRecording and interpreting pertinent patient dataDeveloping, documenting, and executing a treatment planWriting routine orders for appropriate laboratory studies, imaging, and consultationsPerforming patient/parent teachingAssisting with patient follow-upPerforming appropriate screeningsAdministering medications as requiredOrdering and/or performing therapeutic and diagnostic procedures as indicated by patient findingsVent and airway managementNutrition management such as TPNStaff presurgical and multidisciplinary as neededParticipate in researchSupervise and teach medical students, residents, fellows and clinical team on the inpatient unit including advanced practice providers, nurses and respiratory therapists. Manage and participate in the call coverage schedule as assignedDevelop, maintain and promote effective working relationships with other physicians and hospital staffParticipate in staff meetings and hospital committees as requestedUse hospital resources efficientlyAbide by hospital regulations, bylaws, and policiesMaintain good professional relationships with the broader medical communityProvide professional pediatric hospitalist/intensivist services on-site for all patients admitted, under observation, or evaluated within the hospitalServe as the first responding physician for emergency services needed within the scope of practice. Coordinate non-emergency care, as needed, and consult with the appropriate on-call service for further directionMaintain effective communication regarding current status and treatment plans for all inpatients with the incoming team through daily progress notes and status reportsThis is not an all-inclusive list of this job’s responsibilities. Required Skills/AbilitiesDoctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical schoolMust have completed an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) accredited pediatric residency programMust have relevant work experience or completed fellowship training in pediatric critical careMust possess or be eligible for TX medical licensePediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification requiredWorking EnvironmentWorking conditions: Inside/OutsideWorking Position: Sitting/Standing/WalkingPhysical Demands: MediumPhysical Requirements: Lifting/Carrying, Pushing/Pulling, and Stopping/Kneeling/BendingAn Individual in this position will be required to list or carry weight in this group: 25-34 lbsSensory/Communicative activities essential to the performance of this position: Feeling, Hearing, Seeing, Smelling, SpeakingAn Individual in this position will be exposed to: Inside/Outside environment
