As a global leader in the art world, Art Basel fosters the intersection of culture, creativity, and commerce, shaping conversations and experiences that drive the future of the arts.Role overview: Art Basel seeks a strategic, service-oriented Gallery & Project Manager (GPM) to support galleries through the full lifecycle of Art Basel Miami Beach fair participation — from application and selection to booth build-out and on-site execution. Reporting to the Regional Head of Gallery Relations, Americas, and working with a team of motivated New York- and Europe-based GPMs, the GPM will partner across internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination, operational excellence, and best-in-class exhibitor experiences that uphold Art Basel’s global standards. This role is based in Art Basel's New York City office.Your responsibilities: Gallery Relations & SupportServe as the primary point of contact for assigned galleries across both Art Basel Miami Beach and Art Basel in Basel, guiding them through application, selection, compliance, and participation processes.Communicate clearly and proactively with galleries on timelines, requirements, and expectations.Advise galleries on booth planning, presentation strategy, and fair guidelines.Project Coordination & ExecutionLead operational planning for gallery participation including booth logistics, special orders, schedules, and documentation.Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Operations, Marketing, Digital, VIP Relations, Partnerships, Finance, Legal) to deliver aligned solutions and mitigate risks.Prepare and maintain accurate records, CRM entries, operational lists, and participation statistics.Manage and execute other Art Basel Miami Beach specific Gallery Relations tasks as assigned.On-Site Delivery & Issue ResolutionAct as a key on-site contact during build-up and fair days to support gallery needs and resolve issues promptly.Ensure timelines, regulations, and quality standards are met throughout booth installation and show operations.Communications & ReportingDraft clear communications, briefings, and updates for stakeholders.Contribute to post-fair evaluations and reporting that inform process improvements.OtherSupport invoicing coordination with Finance and perform additional administrative tasks as needed.Your Profile: 3–5 years of professional experience in art fairs, galleries, museums, cultural institutions, or related project management roles.Strong project coordination skills with the ability to manage complex workflows and competing priorities.Excellent communication skills with a professional, client-focused approach.Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and data tracking tools.Strong collaborator with ability to build effective cross-team partnerships.Highly organized, detail-oriented, and outcome-driven.Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities.Cultural fluency and passion for the arts and Art Basel’s mission.Fluency in English; additional languages an asset.Willingness to travel and work extended hours during peak fair periods.
