Solar Construction Superintendent Owner's Representative
Now Hiring: Civil/Mechanical Superintendent Solar ConstructionAP Recruiters & Associates, a veteran-owned staffing agency, is seeking an experienced Civil/Mechanical Superintendent Solar to serve as the Owner's representative on an active utility-scale solar construction project. In this role, you will oversee all civil and structural aspects of construction, holding the EPC contractor accountable to safety, quality, schedule, and performance standards. This is a hands-on, field-based leadership position ideal for a construction professional with a strong industrial or solar background.
Key Responsibilities
Review Safety Documents and Policies
Review Contract Documents (Scope of Work)
Review Civil/Mechanical Drawings and Specifications
Review and Ensure SWPPP is installed and Maintained per Permit
Ensure EPC schedules Pre-Cons for New Tasks
Review Civil/Mechanical Checklist
Attend EPC Safety, Craft Tailgates and Management Meetings
Perform daily field walks and observations with field crews
Perform QA/QC inspections and walkdowns on construction activities
Monitor Unifier Uploads by EPC
Complete QA/QC inspections in Unifier per frequency and activity completion
Track Open Action Items or Punchlist
Required Qualifications
Minimum 4 years of industrial experience in civil and structural construction; solar or utility-scale energy experience strongly preferred
Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, and review civil/mechanical construction drawings and specifications
Proven people management skills with experience overseeing EPC contractors and third-party stakeholders
Strong organizational skills with experience in schedule management, progress reporting, and field coordination
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and construction management platforms (Unifier experience a plus)
Solid understanding of SWPPP compliance, QA/QC processes, and construction safety protocols
Must be willing and able to work on-site full-time for the duration of the 12-month contract; ability to mobilize to mainland U.S. project site required
15+ years of experience managing and overseeing large-scale construction projects, including gen tie and transmission projects.
