*Spellbound Village / Distortion | Hampton, GA* *Seasonal Festival Build with Opportunity for Year-Round Employment* Distortion is building Spellbound Village, an immersive fall festival experience in Hampton, Georgia, with plans to expand the property into a permanent year-round immersive entertainment destination. We are looking for *two hands-on Experience Fabricators/Carpenters* who enjoy being given an idea and figuring out how to physically make it happen. This is not traditional residential construction. One day you may be building a split-rail fence along a wooded haunted trail. The next may involve building large communal tavern tables, modifying an escape-room set, creating fake laboratory computer stations, constructing theatrical scenery, or figuring out how to make an unusual creative concept physically work. The right person should be comfortable hearing: _"Here's what I want it to look like and here's what it needs to do. Figure out how to build it."_ *Responsibilities include:* basic and intermediate carpentry; accurate measuring, cutting and assembly; safe operation of circular saws, miter saws, drills, impact drivers and other common power tools; building scenery, furniture, props and functional attraction elements; installing and modifying existing sets; working from sketches, reference images and verbal creative direction; developing practical solutions when formal construction drawings don't exist; and working collaboratively with painters, technicians and the creative team. We're less interested in certifications than *competence, common sense and the ability to finish things*. Experience in theater, haunted attractions, escape rooms, fabrication, construction, woodworking, film sets or themed entertainment is a plus, but not required. This begins as a *festival build position*, with the potential to develop into ongoing year-round work as Distortion expands Spellbound Village, Quieten Labs and future entertainment projects. Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 6.0 – 40.0 per week Work Location: In person
