Architectural Professional Associate Level
We're seeking an Architectural Professional Associate Level to be based in San Francisco, CA and various unanticipated worksites in the US.In this role, you'll:Support design and delivery of facilities and structures from conceptual phase through completion, ensuring compliance with codes and client requirements while maintaining design vision. Execute schematic design layouts, detailed drawings, and coordinating supporting studies and analyses to advance project development. Develop plans for new construction and modifications to existing facilities, balancing technical requirements with aesthetic goals of the clients. Act as an architectural subject matter expert, offering technical insight and representing the firm's technical perspective on a range of projects. Collaborate with various disciplines such as Structural, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing, Drainage, Landscape and Construction, along with project managers and external consultants, to align the design intent with project execution strategies. Partner with directors and department heads to recommend technical approaches and product solutions that support organizational standards. Address complex design challenges by identifying innovative approaches and guiding team members through specialized problem-solving strategies. Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, such as Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), California Building Code, International Building Code compliance, and others, during the design development phase of a project. This includes the local governing body's permitting requirements, code compliance standards and internal company standards while maintaining project quality. Mentor junior staff, providing technical guidance and fostering professional growth. Operate independently on most assignments, stepping into leadership roles for functional teams or select projects when needed.Hybrid schedule is allowed.#LI-DNIREQUIREMENTS: This position requires a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Architecture or related field and 3 years of work experience in the job offered or related occupation in Architecture. As an alternative, employer will accept a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Architecture or related field and 5 years of work experience in the job offered or related occupation in Architecture.SPECIFIC SKILLS: Building Design Methodologies/Techniques: Advanced BIM and Architectural Modeling: Autodesk Revit for developing and managing complex BIM models from schematic design through construction documentation. Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) / BIM 360 for cloud-based collaboration, version control, and document management across multi-disciplinary teams. Navisworks for clash detection, model coordination, and 4D construction sequencing. Command of AutoCAD for precise 2D drafting and technical detailing. SketchUp for conceptual modeling and early-stage visualization; advanced in EnScape for real-time rendering and immersive presentations. Bluebeam Revu for digital markups, PDF management, and collaborative review workflows. Graphic Design and Visualization: Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) for refining renderings, creating diagrams, and producing polished presentation packages that clearly communicate complex design concepts. Integrated Design and Coordination: Leverages BIM platforms for interdisciplinary coordination, ensuring seamless integration of architectural, structural, and MEP systems. Manages RFIs, submittals, and collaborative design reviews using cloud-based tools for geographically dispersed teams. Regulatory and Technical Expertise: IBC, NFPA 101, and specialized NFPA standards for hazardous materials; ensures compliance in all design deliverables.
