Supply Chain Specialist

Job SummarySchedule production and allocate inventory to designated Behr facilities. Purchase raw materials, packaging, or finished goods from Behr's supplier base. Manage and monitor Distribution Center Inventory levels to maintain appropriate Finished Goods stock and ensure 100% Fill Rate (right product, at the right time, at the right DC). Adjust the production scheduler to address shortages as needed. Working safely is part of our culture and is a condition of employment.Essential FunctionsSchedule production as required and transfer of product to and from other facilities.Purchase raw materials and packaging to support the production schedule.Keep current on status of purchase orders and maintain a professional and effective working relationship with suppliers.Work with quality departments and suppliers to resolve any quality non-conformances.Stay current on pricing and sourcing changes with Master Data updates in SAP.Work with Accounts Payable and suppliers as necessary to address invoice and/or receiving discrepancies.Analyze and report on inventory age, balance, and coverage of finished goods, packaging and/or raw materials.Work closely with Manufacturing, Distribution and Supply Chain to ensure inventory reporting is timely and accurate.Work with plant personnel on timely receipt of deliveries and/or shipments to other facilities.Research and correct discrepancies and perform root cause analysis and recommend procedural changes as necessary.Job Qualifications – Experience/Education/TrainingEducational attainment equivalent to bachelor's degree in supply chain, Operations Management or related field.Considerable experience involving inventory control, purchasing and materials management work using computerized databases.Strong Excel skills including v-lookup, if-then statements and Pivot tables.APICS CPIM Certification preferred. APICS CPIM Certification required: pass module 1 within first year and obtain full certification within 3 years of hire (company sponsored certification plan).Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesERP experience preferred (particularly SAP).Proficiency with computerized inventory control systems, MRP and multi-level BOMs.Knowledge of MS Office Suites; strong Excel skills including the ability to create complex spreadsheets leveraging v-lookup, if-then statements and Pivot tables.Strong data mining, analytical, and decision-making skills.Organizational and time management skills.Excellent written & oral communication skills; good presentation skills.Experience working in a manufacturing environment and/or distribution center.CompanyBehr Paint CompanyShift: 1 (United States of America) – Full timeHiring Range: $56,900.00 - $89,320.00 USDActual compensation may vary based on various factors including experience, education, geographic location, and/or skills.J-18808-Ljbffr
