This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong fiscal controls, and effective financial planning. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Finance Office, overseeing day-to-day financial operations, and maintaining strong relationships with funding partners and financial institutions. Key responsibilities include providing financial insights for long-term strategy, managing budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, and ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal control standards. The Vice President of Finance will also lead and mentor a small finance team, establish and maintain fiscal policies and procedures, and identify opportunities for process improvement.Applicants for the Vice President of Finance position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, with a CPA, MBA, or Master’s degree in a related field. A minimum of 7-10 years' progressive finance leadership experience is required, with a preference for those with a background in nonprofit financial management, including government contracts and grants. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, experience in supervising and developing staff, and a proven track record in managing multiple funding streams and complex financial structures. Knowledge of GAAP, internal control practices, and experience with MIP accounting software is also preferred.
