In this role you will help shape Salesforce's global marketing strategy through research, data analysis, and storytelling.What You'll DoLead Buyer Insights Research: Design and execute research that builds a deep understanding of Salesforce's buyers (e.g., CIO, CDO studies), their motivations, pain points, and decision-making dynamics to inform go-to-market strategy, product marketing, and competitive positioning.Drive Thought Leadership Research: Lead public-facing research studies such as "State of Service" or "State of IT," managing the entire lifecycle from study design through external publication and working closely with PR and Marketing.Design and Execute Mixed-Method Studies: Translate business questions into research plans that blend qualitative and quantitative methods, work with external suppliers, and perform hands-on tasks when needed.Synthesize Across Studies: Connect findings from buyer insights, thought leadership, and other research to produce integrated conclusions and surface insights that exist at intersections of multiple studies.Drive Stakeholder Alignment and Research Strategy: Scope studies with clear viewpoints, communicate the value of proposed research to stakeholders, and actively engage them to ensure alignment and real-decision impact.Integrate Contextual Insights: Complement primary findings with competitive dynamics, industry trends, and media analyses, leveraging AI to surface signals that enrich research.Data Visualization & Storytelling: Translate quantitative results into clear visuals and compelling narratives, building slides that drive decisions.Leverage AI to Scale Impact: Use AI tools throughout the research lifecycle and share learnings that enhance workflow efficiency.Manage Supplier Relationships: Own day-to-day interactions with external research agencies, ensuring high quality and timely project delivery.What We're Looking ForGenuine Curiosity: Deep interest in buyers, business, technology, and broader contexts to enrich research.Research Experience: Strong foundation in primary research (quantitative and qualitative), study design, honest interpretation of results, and awareness of data limits.AI Fluency: Experience building AI-centric workflows, with a clear perspective on best practice and a commitment to maintaining research integrity.Comfort with Ambiguity: Ability to progress when conditions are unclear and to know when to seek guidance.Unleash Your PotentialWhen you join Salesforce, you'll receive comprehensive benefits designed to support your life and work balance, including medical, dental, vision, mental health support, paid parental leave, disability insurance, 401(k) with company match, and stock-purchase options.
