At KPMG, we believe nothing is more important than investing in our culture because it's an investment in our people, our future, and what we stand for as a firm.KPMG is currently seeking aManager or Senior Manager, Accounting Methods and Credits Services (AMCS) to join our Business Tax Services practice.Responsibilities:Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to conduct research and development (R&D) tax credit consulting services, including leading client interviews and discussions, performing tax technical research, and developing business and industry expertiseAssistance on federal tax consulting services including accounting method assessments, design and implementation of projects related to revenue and expense recognition, capitalized items, fixed assets, and inventoriesCommunicate directly with client personnel, including operations, finance, accounting, and engineeringManage and implement multiple projects simultaneously, which include client interviews, computations, analysis, data gathering and coordination of KPMG and client resourcesAssist with drafting opinion letters, responses to IRS inquiries, IRS ruling requests and writing other technical memorandaDevelop and sustain excellent client relationships and assist in business development effortAct with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environmentAdditional Responsibilities for Senior Manager:* Engage in an active role in new business development, including add-on businessQualifications:Minimum five years of recent experience in a public accounting firm or corporate taxation experience, including experience in accounting methods and credit servicesBachelor's degree from an accredited college/universityLicensed CPA, EA or JD/LLM, in addition to others on KPMG's approved credential listing; any individual who does not possess at least one of the approved designations/credentials when their employment commences, has one year from their date of hire to obtain at least one of the approved designations/credentials; should you like to see the complete list of currently approved designations/credentials for the hiring practice/service line, your recruiter can provide you with that listSolid verbal and written communication skills with the ability to evaluate and articulate complex informationProficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Access; experience performing internet researchAbility to travel and work at client locationsAdditional Qualifications for Senior Manager:* Minimum eight years years of recent experience in a public accounting firm or corporate taxation experience, including experience in accounting methods and credit services* Experience mentoring and counseling staff level team membersKPMG LLP and its affiliates and subsidiaries ("KPMG") complies with all local/state regulations regarding displaying salary ranges.
