In this hands-on role, you will serve as the critical link between our software engineering team and real-world deployment environments. You will execute, monitor, and troubleshoot software systems in active warehouse and industrial settings, ensuring seamless sensor deployments and high-quality execution across field operations.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESExecute software front-ends (GUI and command-line interfaces) in field warehouse environmentsTroubleshoot software execution issues in real-time, ensuring minimal disruption to operationsCollaborate closely with the broader software engineering team on issue diagnosis and continuous improvementManage and monitor the quality of software execution in real-time during deploymentsDeploy and configure arrays of sensors into industrial warehouse settingsUnpack, assemble, configure, disassemble, and transport technical equipment to and from field sitesMaintain clear, accurate documentation of deployments, issues, and resolutionsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS4+ years of experience in a relevant technical field roleWillingness and ability to travel to field sites as requiredProficiency with Linux, Bash, and/or Zsh environmentsStrong hands-on ability to unpack, assemble, disassemble, and transport technical equipmentDemonstrated documentation skills - able to produce clear, thorough technical recordsStrong problem-solving skills with comfort working in fast-paced, dynamic environmentsEffective communicator - able to relay technical findings to both field and remote engineering teams PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (BONUS POINTS)The following are not required but will make your application stand out:Software & SystemsFamiliarity with motion capture ecosystems: Optitrack, Manus, StretchSense, or RokokoExperience with AR/VR headsets or Zed stereo camerasBasic Python scripting ability for automation or diagnosticsExperience with AWS CLI and foundational cloud servicesExperience with real-time monitoring toolsExperience with remote system administration Hardware & ConnectivityKnowledge of hardware communication protocols: I2C, SPI, UARTExperience deploying sensor arrays or IoT devices in the fieldFamiliarity with industrial automation or warehouse management systems Documentation & OperationsExperience writing technical documentation, SOPs, or deployment guidesExperience with machine shop tools and physical fabricationSalary Range: $110,000-$120,000/KThe actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate's combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experienceALTEN Technology is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
