Our 3d printed nickel-based materials allow us to push the boundaries of turbomachinery to its upper limits. Arbors machine shop in El Segundo consists of a Bridgeport, machine lathe, and a Haas Vf3 with 5 axis capabilities. We will soon be expanding to another full 5 axis machine. The Ideal candidate is someone with experience in tight tolerance machining and the ability to set up and run 3d printed parts. ResponsibilitiesPerform precision set-ups of various CNC and manual machines on state-of-the-art assetsAbility to program using MastercamPrioritize daily work to ensure high machine uptime across the shop.Experience with a CMM armManage cutting tools in CNC machines to ensure that machines have the needed cutting tools loaded and measured before they are called in upcoming programsOperate clean line equipment, laser part marking, and general part finishing requirementsOperate and effectively use calibrated devices to ensure hardware leaving the machine shop is conforming and meets print requirementsPerform CNC machine preventative maintenance on a weekly and monthly basisMaintain the shop in terms of chip bins, oils, greases, 5S and general upkeep activitiesRemain flexible in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment and support teammates however possibleComplete work instructions and test plans to document needed data throughout each processRequirementsPositive attitude and able to work well on a teamAble to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervisionAble to stay organized with strong attention to detailAble to read mechanical and engineering drawings and interpret tolerances (including GD&T)Able to read and interpret fluid or electrical schematicsSkilled with mechanical hand toolsKnowledge/experience with AN, MS, MP, and Swagelok fluid connectionsKnowledge/experience with cryogenic systems (gaseous and liquid)Knowledge/experience working with electrical components and systemsProficient computer skills; comfortable with using email and the Microsoft Office suitePreferred QualificationsThis role requires the ability to perform the essential functions listed below, with or without reasonable accommodation: Ability to lift up to 25 lbs unassistedAbility to stand, kneel, and move for extended periodsAbility to perform repetitive movements, including bending, twisting, and using hands to handle or control tools and equipmentComfortable working in environments with varying noise levelsWilling to travel for short trips as needed, up to 20% travel Compensation & BenefitsPre-IPO stock optionsMedical, dental, and vision insurance (Arbor covers 90% for employees)Basic life insurance fully coveredHealth savings account (HSA) with matchingFlexible savings account (FSA)Unlimited PTO 12+ company holidays, including Earth Day! 401(k)Commuter benefitsAnnual learning and development stipendAnd more!Base Pay$40.00 - 45.00 USD/hour.
