Hospitalists do not see patients below the age of 18. Hospitalist covers ICU with teleICU coverage. Single coverage with a maximum of 10 admits per night; anything after 10 floats to the day doctor. Must be able to perform intubations, para/thoracentesis, c-lines, and handle stroke alerts and medical alerts.
