This role is critical in ensuring high-quality, compliant, and trustworthy data pipelines that power advanced analytics and machine learning solutions within a retail environment.Key Responsibilities:Define and implement AI data governance frameworks, policies, and standardsOversee AI/ML data lifecycle including ingestion, labeling, feature engineering, and model trainingEnsure data quality, lineage, and compliance across enterprise data platformsConduct bias assessments and responsible AI reviewsCollaborate with data scientists, engineers, and business teams to drive governance adoptionManage and optimize data cataloging and metadata management toolsLead cross-functional discussions and governance workflowsEnsure compliance with GDPR, CCPA, and AI governance standardsRequired Skills & Experience:10–15 years of experience in data governance / data stewardship3–5 years of experience supporting AI/ML data environmentsStrong knowledge of AI/ML pipelines and MLOps tools (MLflow, Azure ML, SageMaker, Databricks)Experience with data governance tools (Collibra, Atlan, Alation, Informatica)Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift)Strong understanding of data lineage, data quality, and metadata managementWorking knowledge of SQL and PythonExperience with feature stores, model registries, and data versioningPreferred Qualifications:Experience in Retail / Supply Chain domainStrong understanding of Responsible AI and regulatory complianceProven ability to drive process improvements and governance adoptionSoft Skills:Strong communication and stakeholder management skillsAnalytical mindset with problem-solving abilityAbility to work in a fast-paced, evolving AI environment
