Diesel Mechanic

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and a passion for maintaining and repairing heavy equipment. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and excellent customer service abilities. The Diesel Mechanic will work on various diesel-powered vehicles and equipment, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely. Duties Perform diagnostic tests on diesel engines to identify issues and determine necessary repairs. Conduct routine maintenance on diesel-powered vehicles and equipment, including oil changes, filter replacements, and brake inspections. Repair or replace defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment. Work with hydraulics systems to troubleshoot and repair hydraulic components. Maintain accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed. Communicate effectively with customers regarding service needs and recommendations. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs while maintaining high-quality standards. Requirements Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or in a similar role. Strong knowledge of diesel engine repair techniques and practices. Familiarity with hydraulics systems and equipment repair. Proficient in the use of power tools, hand tools, and welding equipment. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose mechanical issues effectively. Strong customer service skills to interact positively with clients. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. A valid driver's license is preferred.
