Incoming Quality InspectorW2 ContractPay Rate: $25 - $29 per hourLocation: Foothill Ranch, CA - Onsite RoleJob Summary:We are seeking a detail-oriented Incoming Quality Inspector to support our manufacturing operations by ensuring all incoming materials meet defined quality standards before they are released to production. This inspector will be responsible for the critical first step in our quality assurance process: the thorough inspection of all incoming raw materials, components, and sub-assemblies, with a particular focus on mechanical, electronic, and circuit board components. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, a basic understanding of inspection tools and methods, and the ability to accurately document findings in digital systems.Duties and Responsibilities:Inspect incoming raw materials, mechanical parts, electronic components, and circuit board assemblies for visual and dimensional accuracy.Verify part numbers, quantities, and conditions against packing slips, purchase orders, and technical specifications.Check for any signs of damage, defects, or inconsistencies in packaging or product condition.Use inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, multimeters, and magnifiers to assess quality.Identify and document non-conformances, escalate issues as appropriate, and quarantine non-compliant materials.Maintain accurate inspection records, logs, and digital documentation in line with quality standards.Collaborate with Purchasing, Engineering, and Production teams to resolve discrepancies or quality issues.Ensure incoming items are labeled, tagged, and stored properly after inspection.Support internal audits and participate in continuous improvement efforts related to material quality.Follow all safety protocols and standard operating procedures.Perform other related duties as assigned to support production and operational needs.Requirements and Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent required.Basic understanding of mechanical and electronic components; experience with PCB inspection is a plus.Proficient in basic computer use, including data entry and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook).Experience using common inspection tools (e.g., calipers, multimeters) preferred.Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.Good communication and documentation skills.Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.Desired Skills and ExperienceIncoming quality inspection, Incoming inspection, Quality inspection, Raw material inspection, Mechanical inspection, Electronic component inspection, Circuit board inspection, PCB inspection, Visual inspection, Dimensional inspection, Part verification, Packing slip verification, Purchase order verification, Technical specifications review, Defect identification, Non-conformance documentation, Material quarantine, Inspection records management, Digital documentation, Calipers, Micrometers, Multimeters, Magnifiers, Quality standards compliance, Internal audits, Continuous improvement, Safety protocols, Standard operating procedures, Data entry, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Attention to detail, Communication skills, Documentation skills, Time management, Independent work, Fast-paced environment, Manufacturing, Production support, Purchasing collaboration, Engineering collaborationBayside Solutions, Inc. is not able to sponsor any candidates at this time.
