Drive Thru Coffee Stand Barista

Top Fuel Espresso is looking for outgoing, knowledgeable and genuine baristas. Barista responsibilities include educating customers on our drinks menu, making recommendations based on their preferences, up-selling special items and taking orders. To be successful in this role, you should have excellent social skills and knowledge of coffee recipes. You should also be able to work various shifts. To be considered for a starting barista position, you MUST have open availability. We're hiring barista positions where you can expect to work 30 hours / week. This position also requires open availability on weekends (requested weekends off, honored). Note: this position’s compensation includes hourly wage and tips Ultimately, you’ll ensure an excellent drinking experience for our guests. Greet and welcome guests Give customers drink menus and answer their questions regarding ingredients Take orders while paying attention to details (e.g. preferences of coffee blend, dairy and sugar ratios) Prepare beverages following recipes Serve beverages and prepared food, like cookies, pastries and muffins Receive and process payments (cash and credit cards) Keep the bar area, food prep area, outside premises, and staff areas clean Check if brewing equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs Comply with health and safety regulations Communicate customer feedback to managers and recommend new menu items Cook breakfast items for guests Bake various pastries REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective customer and team interactions. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks with attention to detail. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, outgoing personality. Capable of building positive relationships with customers and team members. Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts. Self-motivated and capable of independent work during down times. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Constant standing and walking for up to 10 hours to perform job duties. One year minimum barista experience. Occasional stooping, kneeling, or crawling may be required. Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of objects up to 50 lbs. Occasional use of ladders and ramps to access elevated areas. Frequent wrist and spine movement during beverage preparation and tasks. Constantly receives and exchanges detailed information through oral communication. Maintains clear vision for reading orders and interacting with customers. Demonstrates precise mental math skills for both following recipes and conducting accurate cash transactions.
