This role’s primary focus will be selling the Boulevard and Ommegang portfolios of beers to targeted on and off premise accounts, by developing strong relationships with decision-makers, providing solutions to their business needs, and driving consumer trial and velocity. To do so, this person will be responsible for building and executing supporting programs and promotional activity, providing greater visibility and growing brand awareness. The Sales Representative will report to the Duvel USA Market Manager and will reside in or around Milwaukee, WI.Duties & ResponsibilitiesEnsure the implementation of all sales and marketing programs for the craft portfolio (Boulevard Brewing Co and Brewery Ommegang)Motivate distributor sales force to achieve sales objectivesFocus on selling products and/or upgrading number of product lines across distribution channelsIdentify accounts that are not being penetrated with Duvel USA products and develop a plan to establish business with such accountsConduct wait-staff / bartender educations, beer tastings and beer dinnersEnsure proper merchandising of on- and off-premise accountsPlan and execute on-premise promotions as permitted (note: evenings; weekend festivals)Schedule and participate in regular off premise demos, samplings and in store tastingsDevelop and maintain close relationships with key accounts both on and off-premiseMaintain clear and constant communication with distributor reps (ride-along, email, text, call) including sending weekly market visit recaps communicating successes to ensure follow-throughBe responsible for the allocation and use of point-of-sale materialsSubmit activity recaps and weekly agendas to managerCollect data (e.g. pricing, distribution) as requiredCompile and submit reports required for the sales divisionOperate effectively within corporate and budgetary guidelinesTrack and monitor progress in all identified accountsObserve all state and federal laws pertaining to the sale, merchandising and promotion of malt beveragesEmbrace the Duvel Moortgat values: Passion, Quality, Sustainability, & IntegrityKnowledge, Experience And Abilities RequiredBachelor's degree preferredOne to two years malt beverage experience, preferably with at least one year at a wine or beer distributorAbility to interface with various levels of management, at wholesale as well as retailSelf-motivation and ability to work with limited amount of direction; ability to work both independently and within a team to accomplish goalsStrong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to speak in front of large groups, conduct trainings/promotionsStrong work ethic; demonstrated ability to plan and manage multiple responsibilitiesAn intense competitive spirit with an assertive, confident personalityStrong sense of urgency and commitment to achieving resultsStrong judgment and professional maturityExcellent problem solving skills; mathematically proficientWillingness to travel overnight and a good driving recordAbility to manage budgets including travel & expense and mileage reports submitted monthlyProficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and Power PointPrior experience using VIP and Lilypad applications is preferredEmphasis on sampling; must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessaryOther DutiesPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
