Formulate and apply appropriate project management to projects and work with engineering and leadership for electronic warfare, modeling and simulation, technical direction, test philosophy, policy, goals, objectives, and priorities to ensure validity, efficiency, and credibility in the acquisition, training, and test and evaluation of airborne systems.The APM coordinates, monitors, statuses and tracks all tasks identified for the project, including all significant contract actions, milestones, design reviews, proto-type releases, documentation release, training, modifications/installations, audits, initial operations capabilities and final operations capability.The APM will act as a contracting officer representative (COR) for any program office contracts. Specialized experience is experience in assisting with achieving, demonstrating, and maintaining the key acquisition and/or support requirements; taking and displaying personal accountability in leading, overseeing, guiding, and/or managing programs and projects within assigned areas of responsibility; possessing an operational understanding of organizational goals and priorities and fully complying with administrative policies, regulations and procedures when performing job operations; and monitoring and influencing cost parameters of work, tasks, and projects, ensuring an optimum balance between cost and value. NOTE: Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.Ideal Candidate:Desired skills include:Experience with the PID/SOC process desired.Experience with AFTC I&M processes desired.Experience with modeling and simulation desired.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:*Knowledge of program and project management concepts, principles, and techniques as applied to the capabilities development of modeling and simulation solutions for a diverse customer base.*Strong ability to plan and organize work, coordinate between various support organizations, and coordinate with other Air Force, DOD, and other domestic and foreign government agencies.*Strong ability to research, analyze, interpret, and apply rules, regulations, and procedures to a variety of situations and to recommend timely and economical solutions.*Ability to understand overall project objectives and to communicate the efforts of various customer uses (e.g, developmental test, operational test, training, research and development, etc) in order to ensure projects are developed and produced that meet customer content requirements within established cost and scheduled parameters.*
