Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Radiologic Technologist to join our team in Queens, NY. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures to assist in the diagnosis of various medical conditions. The role requires a high level of technical expertise and a commitment to providing compassionate patient care.
Responsibilities:
Perform routine and specialized diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, CT scans, and MRI scans, in accordance with established protocols and physician orders.
Safely operate imaging equipment, ensuring optimal image quality while adhering to radiation safety guidelines and best practices.
Position patients correctly and effectively, ensuring their comfort and safety during procedures.
Review and evaluate captured images, collating relevant patient information, and quality assurance measures.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to interpret and assess the results of imaging studies.
Maintain accurate and complete patient records, documenting procedures, findings, and patient information.
Maintain inventory of supplies, ensuring availability and proper utilization of resources.
Follow all safety regulations and infection control protocols to create a safe and clean work environment.
Stay up-to-date with advancements in radiologic technology, attending conferences and workshops to enhance knowledge and skills.
Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements, including HIPAA and patient privacy regulations.
Requirements:
Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Valid state licensure as a Radiologic Technologist in New York.
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist, preferably in a hospital or clinical setting.
In-depth knowledge of radiographic techniques, patient positioning, and anatomy.
Proficient in operating and troubleshooting various imaging equipment, including X-ray machines, CT scanners, and MRI machines.
Excellent attention to detail and technical skills to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients, healthcare professionals, and support staff.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated commitment to patient care and safety.
Knowledge of medical terminology and patient confidentiality regulations.
