The location of this position is at our warehouse location in Covington, Georgia. Job Summary The role of this position is the candidate will be responsible for preparing and receiving orders, and as part of the modification team, will work with, operate our silk-screening printers, and assist with minor modification of products. They will work with other departments such as Warehouse, Factory, and/or Production to ensure the products are shipped out and manufactured in a timely manner. This position performs and follows a standard procedure that helps with the consistent rotation of packaging, labeling, material picking, and updating customers’ orders for shipment. This position will require flexibility in work assignments and will include cross-training in areas such as receiving, packaging, material picking, labeling, painting, and assembling. This is a team environment, and the position requires the ability to shift from various roles as assigned and needed. The qualified candidate works well on a team to achieve goals for the overall company. Responsibilities & Duties Examine and inspect containers, materials, or products to ensure that product quality and packing specifications are met. Load materials and products into package processing equipment. Remove completed or defective products or materials, placing them on moving equipment, such as conveyors, or in specified areas, such as loading docks. Placement or pour products / materials into containers, using hand tools and equipment, or fill containers from spouts or chutes. Measure, weigh, and count products and materials. Record product, packaging, and order information on specified forms and records. Seal containers or materials, using glues, fasteners, nails, and/or hand tools. Assemble, line, and pad cartons, crates, and containers, using hand tools. Obtain, move, and sort products, materials, containers, and orders, using hand tools. Mark and label containers, container tags, or products, using marking tools. Clean containers, materials, supplies, or work areas, using cleaning solutions and hand tools. Follows instructions and responds to management’s directions and/or feedback. Completes tasks on time or notifies the appropriate person with an alternate plan. Approaches others in a tactful manner and treats everyone with respect and courtesy. Balances team and individual responsibilities. Observe safety and security procedures when conducting job duties. Requirements & Skills At least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the US (Required) High School diploma or GED (Preferred) Basic math skills (Required) Ability to communicate in both speaking and writing in English (Required) Basic Computer Skills (Preferred) Physical & Mental Requirements Individual: Frequently lift to 25 – 50 lbs. Team: Frequently lift 50 lbs. or more Stand for extended periods of time Repetitive bending, reaching, and climbing Erratic temperature control (Hot during summer, cold during winter) Workshop environment is subject to heat, cold, noise, dust, and other particles. Must wear steel toe boots, safety glasses, safety vest, and other safety equipment, as required, when working in the facility and/or operating machinery.
