Operations SupervisorThis position is responsible for supervising and coordinating day-to-day construction and D&D operations in various radiological and non-radiological work areas to maintain consistent production goals. Must work closely as a team member with Radiological Supervisors, Environmental Engineers, Radiological Engineers, Safety Personnel, and the Project Management Organization (PMO). Job Duties and Responsibilities: Works autonomously within established procedures and practices to perform assigned tasks. Ensuring compliance with OSHA, Company, and NRF specific health and safety regulations to prevent accidents. Exercises judgment, based on previous experience, practices and precedents, to identify and solve problems that arise with little or no precedent. Provides supervisory oversight and leadership for all personnel under his/her charge to ensure the highest possible safety, environmental, radiological, and operational standards are kept. Maintain each work area and crew under his/her supervision with adequate materials and equipment, including procuring, inspecting materials for quality, and ensuring adequate consumables supply. Organizing daily work, inspecting site conditions, and managing on-site activities. Identify potential project risks (safety, schedule, cost etc.). Ensure all work efforts under his/her control are performed in a safe and efficient manner. Inspecting work to ensure it meets blueprints, specifications, and quality standards. Serve as the operations liaison between various work groups in the field, and between the seller and buyer follow groups. Scheduling, managing, and resolving conflicts between different trades. Responsible for knowing the field status of all jobs under his/her status. Keeps the Remediation Manager informed on the status of the job. Assures radiological controls, individual training, and work practices are commensurate with conditions as found at the work site. Audits work in-progress to assure compliance with established procedures. Tracks personnel exposure at the job site, making sure available personnel have adequate exposure to complete the task. Control the completion of routine and non-routine operations, ensuring that all work is planned and deadlines are targeted to maintain the production schedule. Monitoring project progress, identifying bottlenecks, and adjusting workflows to meet deadlines. Submits scheduling information to the Production Coordinator as needed for scheduling purposes. Work directly with engineering to identify required material purchases and procurement activities. Performance of technical work document review, scheduling, cost control and tracking, employee relations, and work quality. Education/Certifications, Experience, etc.: A high school diploma or its equivalent is required. A minimum of five (5) years of experience working as a supervisor in D&D operations and construction industry, and/or navy nuclear power field. Must obtain and maintain Radiological Controls qualifications and others as directed by Naval Reactors. Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE "L" security clearance. Current clearance preferred. Additional Eligibility Qualifications: Extensive background in D&D and Construction Operations and/or navy nuclear power program to provide daily oversight and supervision of operations personnel such that all safety, environmental, radiological engineering and operations standards are met. Must be able to perform simple operations on a personal computer in support of all work and must performance administrative paperwork with little or no errors requiring work. Pay: $86,000 - $136,000 The base salary range for this position in Idaho (US-ID) at the start of employment is expected to be between $86,000 and $136,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,' unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement.
