IT Systems Administrator

Perplexity is seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Systems Administrator to join our dynamic team, revolutionizing the way people search and interact with the internet. As an early hire in this crucial role, you will have an exciting opportunity to shape the future of our technology infrastructure from the ground up.This role is based in-person at our San Francisco office.ResponsibilitiesProcure, maintain, and administer computers, networking equipment, and office technologyManage and optimize corporate software systemsOversee and enhance the Mobile Device Management (MDM) infrastructureDeploy and enforce robust security policies and proceduresProvision and manage user accounts and permissionsProvide prompt, effective technical support and troubleshoot complex issuesLead IT projects focused on endpoint management, security enhancements, and infrastructure improvementsDeliver technical support and training on IT systems to staff (in-person and remotely)Qualifications4+ years of hands-on IT systems administration experienceStrong proficiency in macOS & GSuite environmentsStrong troubleshooting skills (MDM, Okta, Networking)Extensive experience with Okta and automation (Okta Workflows, bash/python is a bonus)Comprehensive understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices, including firewalls, encryption, and antivirus solutionsProven track record in managing IT projects, including system upgrades and new implementationsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsNice to haveExperience with AWS, TailscaleExperience with international IT regulations and complianceCompensation Range: $150K - $180K
