We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Intern/Co-op to join our Commodity Accounting Team. This individual will support daily accounting operations, assist with process documentation, and contribute to data-driven initiatives aimed at improving accuracy and efficiency. The ideal candidate is pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or Data Science, and has a strong interest in data analytics and process improvement.At Global Partners, business starts with people. We show up every day with grit, passion, and purpose—anticipating needs, building lasting relationships, and creating shared value.Your Role, Your ImpactAssist with daily and monthly accounting tasks including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.Support the documentation of accounting processes and internal controls.Analyze transactional and operational data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for automation.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and improve reporting accuracy.Help prepare financial reports and support audit requests.Participate in system testing and implementation of accounting tools or enhancements.QualificationsCurrently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Data Science.Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environmentExperience with documenting business processes or internal controls.Exposure to ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).Experience working with Snowflake and Tableau for data analysis and reporting.Familiarity with SQL for querying and analyzing data.Prior internship or co-op experience in accounting or finance.Interest in process automation and continuous improvement.Pay Range$18.00 - $18.00The pay range for this position is outlined above.
