Job Description:OB Hospitalist Opening – Hartford, CTFull TimePermanent PositionPosition Overview:Seeking a Board-Certified / Board-Eligible OB-GYNPractice location: Hartford, ConnecticutJoin an 868-bed tertiary academic medical centerHospital-based OB Hospitalist roleKey Responsibilities:Provide call coverage and Labor & Delivery (L&D) supportCare for inpatient obstetric and gynecologic patientsProvide OB and GYN consultations on inpatient floors and in the Emergency DepartmentSupervise and collaborate with residents, fellows, midwives, and advanced practice nursesServe as a member and leader of the OB Rapid Response TeamParticipate in patient safety initiatives and quality review committeesImplement quality improvement programs and evidence-based medicineAcademic & Clinical Environment:Extensive subspecialty support including:- Maternal Fetal Medicine- Urogynecology- Gynecologic Oncology- Minimally Invasive GynecologyLevel I Trauma CenterLevel IV NICULargest of three sites responsible for training 40 UConn OB-GYN residentsScheduling Options:12-hour shifts available24-hour shifts available
