Our dynamic Engineering firm is seeking an experienced and innovative Permanent Controls Engineer to join our team. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals who have a passion for technology and want to work on cutting-edge projects. The successful candidate will be part of a team that designs and implements advanced control systems for our clients. The role requires a deep understanding of PLC or HMI programming. This is a full-time, permanent position that requires 5+ years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop and test control systems using PLC Programming.
Analyze system requirements and propose innovative solutions for control systems.
Develop and implement software for automation processes.
Collaborate with project teams to design and implement control systems for our clients.
Perform troubleshooting and repair of control systems.
Provide technical support and training to end-users.
Maintain documentation of control systems and modifications.
Ensure compliance with safety and performance standards.
Stay abreast of the latest advancements in control systems and automation technology.
Evaluate and improve existing control systems for increased efficiency and performance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in control systems engineering.
PLC or HMI programming experience
Proficiency working with industrial communication networks such as ControlNet, DeviceNet
Familiarity with SCADA platforms such as Wonderware or Ignition
Strong understanding of automation and control systems.
Excellent problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Strong understanding of safety and performance standards.
Willingness to stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in control systems and automation technology.
