Security Engineer
Overview
In this remote role, you will strengthen the organization’s cybersecurity by leading threat analysis, incident response, and vulnerability management. You’ll work with cross‑functional teams to implement secure solutions and help shape security policies and compliance. Your work will elevate the security posture across client environments and internal systems, while collaborating with security vendors to optimize service delivery. This position offers hands‑on technical challenges, ongoing learning, and opportunities to influence security strategy at scale.
ResponsibilitiesManage firewalls, antivirus, and endpoint detection solutionsConduct security audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilitiesPerform penetration testing and vulnerability scans with advanced toolsInvestigate security incidents and drive timely resolutionsDevelop and maintain security documentation and architecture diagramsCollaborate on security architecture reviews for new initiativesOversee vendor relationships and third‑party security servicesEnsure compliance with industry standards and client requirements
Key requirementsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field5–10 years in IT security, incident response, and forensic analysisExpertise in firewalls, SIEM, endpoint security, and vulnerability managementPreferred certifications: GIAC GSEC, PCNSE, OSCPScripting skills: Python, VB, PowerShellStrong Windows/Linux knowledge, Active Directory, and network protocolsAnalytical mindset with problem‑solving and customer focusAbility to manage multiple projects remotelyanalytical thinkingcustomer focuseffective remote collaborationfirewallsSIEMendpoint security
