In addition, may serve as the lead recruiter for certain high schools and/or community colleges.Essential FunctionsRecruits' students in designated schools and geographic regions, which includes follow-up with recruits by phone, mail and other personal communications streams to meet weekly and monthly recruiting goals. Develops and implements recruitment programming for students, parents, and counselors. Works with campus departments to coordinate recruitment programs. Represents the University at specified schools, college and community fairs, public presentations, and/or seminars outside or the normal recruitment territory. Contributes to overall recruitment efforts for the University, particularly in areas outside or direct responsibility. Facilitates office coverage and participates in on and off campus recruitment programs, including group presentations; greets walk-in and scheduled visitors; maintains knowledge of all facets of the University. Markets scholarships and participates in selections process when appropriate. Manages budgets related to program and visit expenditures. Reconciles monthly statements and billings from assigned programs and/or visits.Job DutiesPlanning recruitment events, both on-and-off campusPlanning virtual recruitment eventsCoordinate other programs, as assignedAssist with campus visits including presentations, tours, meeting with scheduled visitorsAnswer incoming ACD phone calls, assist with walk-in office visitor coverage and support all office recruitment programs as assignedRequired Education and Experience:* Bachelor's degree in education, business or related field* One (1) year of experience in recruiting, admissions or related fieldRequired License/Certifications/Training:Valid Kansas driver's licenseKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:* Strong organizational and project management skillsAttention to detailsExcellent written and verbal (bi-lingual a plus) communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlinesProficiency with event planning tools, spreadsheets, and budget trackingAbility to work occasional evenings and weekends as required for eventsExcellent customer serviceAbility to manage multiple events and deadlines simultaneouslyAbility to gain knowledge of all facets of WSU student life and admissions/enrollment processesAbility to learn WSU's information systems and understand the functioning of admissions dataBi-lingual a plusSkilled Adobe Designer program userAbility to drive a state vehicle.Additional Information:Candidates will have some travel; day, evening & some weekend trips are part of this job.Physical Requirements:Ability to remain in a stationary position.
