Dorothy Day Soup Kitchen CoordinatorProvide organization and coordination to Dorothy Day Soup Kitchen program; Provide organization and coordination to property maintenanceResponsibilitiesOverseeing the Dorothy Day Soup Kitchen daily operations and food serviceOrganizing volunteer groups for food preparation and serviceCoordinating with volunteer groups for food preparation and serviceCoordinating with Officers to develop and expand ministry opportunitiesSupervising the cleaning and maintenance of the dining room and kitchen areaOrdering food for both the Dorothy Day Soup Kitchen and Food Pantry programsCoordinating with other employees to keep pantries and supplies properly stockedPursuing grant opportunities for the Dorothy Day Soup Kitchen programProviding monthly statistics related to programs under coordinationRefer clients to other community resources as necessaryCoordinating with Officers and volunteers on the homeless outreach ministryCoordinating with Officers and volunteers on the summer feeding ministryRepresenting The Salvation Army on any related community committeesSupervising the cleaning and maintenance of Salvation Army buildings and propertiesCoordinating with volunteer groups for building and property upkeepCoordinating with the Officers on building and property projectsWorking with contractors and affiliated companies on the completion of projectsCommunicating with local service companies for maintenance and repair needsOverseeing the care and upkeep of the vehicle fleetUpdating maintenance contracts annuallyPerforming any other duties related to job responsibilities as determined by the Corps OfficersQualificationsAble to supervise othersMust possess time management and statistical tracking skillsKnowledge and skill to operate MS Office program(s) including Publisher, Excel, Word, and AccessExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to assess the needs of clients and make appropriate referralsPerform ministry service in an independent, confidential, and professional mannerHave an up to date SERV Safe certificationHave a valid driver's licenseCompletion of KeepSAfe abuse risk management training as required by the KeepSAfe policy and assigned by the supervisor.
