Certification should be acquired within one year of employment in this positionEssential Functions, Knowledge and CompetenciesAbility to lift 50 poundsAbility to stand for extended periods of time (8-10 hours or more), frequent bending and twistingMust have vision correctable to 20/20Ability to distinguish colorThorough understanding of GD & T, including formal trainingUnderstand the use and limitations of standard inspection, measuring and test equipmentBasic math skillsBasic computer skills, preferably experience with Microsoft suiteGood interpersonal, verbal and written communication skillsMust be available for all shiftsSufficient gage knowledge to support calibration, create quality documentation and support gage studiesResponsibilitiesCompliance with all quality system procedures and company safety requirementsAdvocating quality principles and practicesGood housekeepingAssist in identifying and qualifying new inspection equipmentProgramming all inspection equipmentDevelop training materials and train on use of inspection equipmentProviding support and troubleshoot measurement equipment as neededWorking with the Material Review Board to resolve customer and supplier quality issuesAssisting with the development of inspection plans and various quality documents.
