Job DetailsThe Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University is accepting applications for a full-time, employed faculty Division Director and Enterprise Lead for Gynecologic Oncology.Job DescriptionQualified candidates should demonstrate a passion for excellence in education, clinical care, and research, with a strong commitment to advancing the academic mission of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital (TJUH). This leadership role serves both as Division Director of Gynecologic Oncology and as Lead for Gynecologic Oncology within the Women’s Service Line. The successful candidate will provide strategic and operational leadership for integrated programs in patient care, research, and education across the academic and regional clinical enterprise.As Division Director, the individual will provide direct physician oversight of gynecologic oncology cancer care at TJUH and ensure the continued delivery of high quality, evidence-based, multidisciplinary care. The Division Director will champion a culture of quality, patient safety, and accountability, while leading continuous quality improvement initiatives designed to optimize the patient experience and improve clinical outcomes. Responsibilities include monitoring and acting on quality metrics, patient satisfaction scores, and outcomes data in partnership with departmental quality leadership. The individual will oversee divisional faculty development, recruitment, mentorship, and educational programming for students and residents.The Division Director will also serve as a visible leader in research and clinical innovation. Responsibilities include serving as a champion for clinical trials, partnering with the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center Clinical Trials Office to expand the gynecologic oncology clinical trials portfolio, and fostering a culture of research engagement and scholarly productivity within the division and department. The successful candidate will cultivate strong relationships with referring physicians, primary care networks, community organizations, and regional healthcare stakeholders to strengthen referral pathways and expand access to specialized gynecologic oncology services.In the role of Lead for Gynecologic Oncology within the Women’s Service Line, the individual will work closely with Service Line VPs, hospital, physician, and operational leadership across regional practice sites to standardize clinical pathways, ensure consistent quality and patient experience, expand clinical trials, support educational initiatives, and support strategic program growth throughout the region.
