Position: Manual MachinistLocation: Mobile, ALPay: $35/hourExperience3+ years of manual machining experience preferredExperience operating conventional lathes and mills requiredEducationHigh school diploma or GED preferredTechnical or trade school training is a plusType: Full-time; ContractSchedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00am to 4:00pmClark Personnel is seeking a Manual Machinist to join a growing and dynamic team!Job DescriptionSet up and operate manual lathes, milling machines, drill presses, grinders, saws, and related shop equipmentMachine, repair, and modify shafts, gears, sprockets, pulleys, couplings, and other industrial componentsRead and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and work ordersPerform precision measurements using micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, bore gauges, and other measuring instrumentsMaintain close tolerances and ensure finished parts meet specificationsSelect tooling, speeds, and feeds appropriate for various materials and operationsAssist with gearbox rebuilds, repairs, and custom fabrication projectsOperate overhead cranes, forklifts, and lifting devices safely when handling large componentsPerform routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean, safe work environmentWork closely with supervisors and team members to complete rush and emergency repair jobs as neededPosition RequirementsAbility to read blueprints and understand mechanical drawingsStrong understanding of machining practices, tolerances, and shop mathematicsExperience machining steel and industrial materialsFamiliarity with gears and power transmission components is a plusAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsAbility to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periodsClark Personnel is part of Array Corporation, the leading technology-enabled workforce solutions company whose mission is to fix how work is bought, sold and delivered to enable access to the American Dream.We are proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer.
