Job Description Multi-Site Manufacturing Support | General Facilities & Equipment Maintenance Cadence is seeking a dependable and hands-on Facilities Maintenance Technician to support general building and equipment maintenance across two manufacturing locations. This role is responsible for maintaining safe, functional, and efficient facility operations while assisting with basic equipment maintenance and repair as needed.This position is based primarily from the Watertown, CT site and requires frequent travel between the Watertown, CT and the Suffield, CT site (approximately one hour apart) using a company-provided vehicle. Candidates must have a valid driver's license, clean driving record, and the ability to travel regularly between locations.The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of independently managing maintenance priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Key Responsibilities Perform general building and facilities maintenance, repairs, and upkeep across two manufacturing locationsTravel regularly between sites using a company-provided vehicle to address maintenance needs and support operational continuityPerform routine inspections of facility systems, equipment, and infrastructure to identify maintenance needs and safety concernsTroubleshoot and repair general facility systems including lighting, plumbing, doors, fixtures, HVAC support systems, and minor electrical/mechanical issuesAssist with equipment maintenance, preventative maintenance tasks, and basic mechanical repairs as neededCoordinate with production, maintenance, and leadership teams to prioritize maintenance requests and minimize operational disruptionsPerform preventative maintenance and general upkeep of interior and exterior facility areasMaintain maintenance logs, repair records, and documentation of completed workEnsure compliance with company safety procedures, maintenance standards, and regulatory requirementsAssist with vendor coordination and contractor support when requiredRespond to urgent maintenance issues and support operational needs across both sitesQualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school training preferred3+ years of facilities maintenance, industrial maintenance, building maintenance, or related hands-on maintenance experience preferredValid driver's license required with a clean driving record (subject to driving record verification)Ability and willingness to travel frequently between two sites approximately one hour apart using a company vehicleStrong mechanical aptitude and general troubleshooting skillsWorking knowledge of building systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC support, and general facility repair practicesAbility to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and basic maintenance equipmentStrong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks independentlyStrong communication and teamwork skillsPreferred Qualifications Experience supporting manufacturing or industrial facilitiesBasic knowledge of production equipment maintenance and repairExperience with preventative maintenance systems or CMMS softwareOSHA safety training or related certificationsWhat You'll Bring A proactive, hands-on approach to solving maintenance challengesStrong reliability and accountability with the ability to work independentlyFlexibility to support changing site needs and maintenance prioritiesA strong commitment to workplace safety, quality, and operational excellenceAbout Cadence Cadence is a leading contract manufacturer specializing in precision components and assemblies for the medical device and life sciences industries.
