We are an aggressive, fast-growing company with a full pipeline of exciting new projects, products, and employment opportunities.About the RoleThe Operations & Development Coordinator is a hybrid role embedded across Shaw’s Product Development and Facilities teams. You’ll keep the engine running on two fronts: supporting the PD team with documentation, vendor coordination, and costing.This is a hands-on, ownership role for someone who thrives on variety, takes pride in getting the details right, and keeps things moving without being asked twice. You’ll report to the PD Director and work closely with PD teams.Who You AreOrganized and detail-oriented — the person who notices what’s missing before anyone else doesProactive and self-directed; you follow through without being micromanagedComfortable with numbers: costing models, yield calculations, MOQ math, inventory forecastingA clear communicator who can turn messy lab notes into a clean trial reportAdaptable in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment with shifting prioritiesWhat You’ll DoProduct Development SupportCoordinate vendor outreach for new ingredients: request samples, specs, pricing, and COAsTrack MOQs, lead times, and pricing across active development projectsBuild and maintain cost models for new product development projects; flag margin risk early when costs shift or volumes don’t alignDocument bench work sessions and produce clean trial reports following production line trialsMaintain up-to-date batch sheets and ensure all formula changes are reflected in current production specsFile all PD documentation consistently in SharePoint, linked to the corresponding Asana projectManage the sample tracker: log requests, shipment status, and follow up on outstanding items with the sales team and the PDFacilitate weekly PD meetings: prepare agendas, capture notes, and track action items to completionHand off approved vendors and finalized sourcing to Supply Chain once a product is readyFacilities & Office OperationsProvide administrative support to HR, QA, and the Plant Director: scheduling, meeting coordination, internal communicationsSupport the PD for the cross-functional meeting preparationHelp standardize office processesWhat You Bring2–4 years of experience in a food manufacturing, food service environment R&D, or office administration backgrounds all relevantStrong organizational and time management skills with a high attention to detailComfort working with numbers: cost models, yield calculations, MOQ math, inventory forecastingClear written communication — able to translate messy notes or lab observations into polished documentationProficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and project management tools such as AsanaExcellent interpersonal skills; professional and welcoming in all interactionsFamiliarity with food safety documentation (batch sheets, spec sheets) is a strong assetComfortable working with and around the food manufacturing processWorking ConditionsHourly, on-site role Frequent interaction across teams — PD, Ops.Must be able to access the manufacturing floor and adhere to GMP requirementsAbility to lift and move light office supplies (up to ~25 lbs)Shaw Bakers is an equal opportunity employer.
