Laundry Aide

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. This position requires the following qualifications: Ensuring all laundry schedules are followed Collecting and sorting laundry in appropriate containers for washing Washing, folding, counting, stacking, hanging and stocking laundry, linen, garments, etc. Coordinating laundry services with the nursing department Wearing or using safety equipment and supplies (back brace, mechanical lift, etc.) when lifting or moving heavy objects Keeping work area free of hazardous objects or unnecessary equipment Reporting all accidents/incidents to the supervisor immediately Following proper techniques when mixing chemicals, disinfectants, or solutions Following established guidelines governing the use of labels and MSDSs Following established handwashing procedures Abiding with all facility policies and procedures including fire safety Experience, Competencies, and Education: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
