This position requires onsite work at Tucson, AZ and an active Secret security Clearance. Candidates who do not hold this clearance are not eligible for hire.Solidus is seeking a skilled Production Test Engineer (PTE) to join our dynamic manufacturing team and support the product test process across all lifecycle phases from development and production transition to sustained manufacturing and depot activities. In this role, you will ensure prime hardware and supporting test equipment comply with technical data package requirements, lead troubleshooting efforts, and drive continuous improvement projects to optimize test efficiency, yields, and capacity. As a critical link in our operations, you will manage process and configuration changes, lead root-cause investigations, and develop cost-effective test equipment obsolescence plans. If you are a proactive problem-solver ready to track project execution, conduct hardware validation, and perform risk assessments in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you!Day In The LifeSupports the test process though one or more phases of the product lifecycle, including product development, transition to production, sustained production, and depot activitiesValidates and ensures compliance of the prime hardware to technical data package requirements and supporting test equipmentPerforms troubleshooting and problem solving of test failuresIdentifies opportunities in test processes to improve efficiency, yields and capacitySupport creating Basis of Estimates (BOE) to estimate costs to add additional capacity, new capabilities and equipment obsolescenceAssures compliance of the prime hardware to technical data package requirements and supporting test equipmentLeads projects to reduce testing, improve efficiency, yields, and capacityDrives manufacturing changes through process change board and supports engineering configuration changes at configuration change board Responsible to validate all changes by conducting the prove in validation process after the change is completedMay be assigned projects to lead where they will track progress and execution either as the (CAM) cost account manager or a member of the project teamTroubleshoots and provides accurate rework instructions for the product hardwareCreation and maintenance of spares and the test equipment obsolescence planCreation of Basis of Estimates (BOE) to estimate costs to add additional capacity, new capabilities and equipment obsolescenceLeads projects to reduce test time, improve the test process through analysis of predictive metrics of trends, failure modes, and test yieldsDevelop test flows and contribute to test capacity analysisMaintain changes to the test equipment technical data package which includes drawings, test instructions, test position manuals, and system softwareAssis in non routine fault isolation, diagnosis and repair of the product or test equipmentLead root cause and corrective action investigations and present findings, utilizing fault trees and knowledge point plansPerforms risk assessments and supports the programs risk register reviewsLeads projects and is responsible for executionOther duties as assignedRequired Qualifications & ExperienceActive Secret ClearanceBachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)5 + years of relevant software engineering experienceStrong ability to diagnose, isolate, and troubleshoot complex electrical or mechanical hardware and test equipment failuresExperience utilizing predictive metrics, trends, and failure modes to improve test yields and process efficiencyProficiency in reading and maintaining technical data packages, including schematic drawings, test instructions, and system software manualsProven experience leading root-cause and corrective action (RCCA) investigations using tools like fault treesCultural fit amongst a collaborative team environmentBenefit selection, customer contractual specifications, relevant work experience, skills, competencies, certifications, and clearance status will influence the final salary.What We Will BringSolidus offers you an exciting opportunity to tackle the nation's greatest challenges applying innovation and expertise to produce cutting-edge results that have a long-lasting impact.
