Assist the school principal in overall administration of instructional programming and campus level operations. Prioritize student learning and safety through instructional leadership, timely communication, and active monitoring of campus operations. Coordinate assigned student activities and services.Qualification Guidelines:Education/Certifications:Master's degree in educational administration or related fieldSuccessful completion of an approved principal preparation program and required examsValid Texas Standard Principal certificate or other appropriate SBEC certificateTexas Teacher Evaluation and Support System (T-TESS) certified (or willing to obtain)Experience:Three years' experience as a classroom teacher or instructional leaderSpecial Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skillsAbility to coordinate campus support operationsAbility to evaluate teacher effectivenessAbility to demonstrate emotional intelligence, strong decision-making, and build trust and rapport with students, staff, and communityIf assigned to a Bilingual or Dual-Language Campus, ability to clearly communicate (verbal and written) in both English and SpanishSupervisory Responsibilities:Share supervisory and evaluation responsibilities with school principal for staff assigned to campus including but not limited to: teachers, paraprofessionals, clerical staff, custodians and others as assigned
