SUMMARY The Director of Global HR Services is responsible for the corporate direction on compensation and HR services. The position will lead the North America planning, designing, administering, and communicating compensation and benefits programs. This role will analyze, develop, implement and evaluate programs to ensure they support the organization’s strategic and tactical objectives. Programs are designed to attract, retain, and motivate a skilled workforce. Goals are achieved by providing vision, leadership, planning, and project coordination. This position will manage 1-2 direct reports and be responsible for establishing a close working relationship with Corporate HR team and Plant HR managers globally. The position is a critical member of the Senior HR Leadership team and will require 10-15% travel. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Compensation · Manage compensation & incentive programs, policies and procedures, including job evaluation, job classification/reclassification, salary structure development, and retirement programs. · Develop proposed plan design changes to maximize the value of the plans to the workforce while minimizing cost to the organization. · Design, implement, and manage salary classification and compensation programs including analysis of compensation levels against the competitive market, recommend and forecast salary and incentive plan adjustments, and administer variable pay plans. · Review compensation decisions in light of pay transparency and pay equity. · Develop compensation program communications that enable employees to derive maximum value from programs, encourage and enable responsible stewardship of organizational resources. · Collect and interpret area, regional, national, and international wage/salary and benefits information using a variety of methods (including personal contacts, surveys, publications, and studies) to determine the competitive position of Cascade. · Recommend effective and contemporary programs for performance-based pay for management and staff throughout the organization. · Align the organization on impactful performance feedback, career development and succession planning. · Oversee the development of accurate, high-quality job descriptions and the determination of appropriate base pay. · Manage the USA 401(k) retirement program. Identify consultants and third-party administrators to ensure a smooth functioning plan. Establish regular Retirement Committee meetings to ensure appropriate oversight of plan operation and investment fund selection is maintained. Ensure all required regulatory notices are properly disseminated. · Management oversight on the North America Cascade benefits plan elements, design, administration and sustainability. Work with HR team, broker & administrator to ensure plan is performing to agreements and to the benefit of the employee base in North America. Monitor utilization trends and address concerns with holistic solutions. This may include oversight of a third part administrator. · Oversee the direction on North America process and decision-making framework for LOA, Accommodations and Workers Compensation and the application of STD and LTD benefits aligned with the state requirements. · Planning and implementation path for key global HR modules in the ADP Vantage HCM program: Salary planning, succession planning, LMS, ATS and more. On-boarding and off-boarding processes, guidelines and data transfer will be a critical focus in 2025. JOB SCOPE This position serves as a professional human resources partner and consultant reporting directly to the VP of Global HR. The position serves as a coach and mentor for managers and employees regarding wage & salary issues, HR services programs, Benefits and Leave programs. Discretion and judgement are exercised routinely in the execution of job duties. QUALIFICATIONS\EDUCATION\EXPERIENCE · Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field; Master’s degree preferred. · Relevant professional certifications to support knowledge of compensation program designs are required. · Expert knowledge of current federal and state compensation and benefit rules and regulations, as well as knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations. · Knowledge of international regulations in countries such as India, Japan, Canada, UK, China, and other countries useful but not required. Must be able to work with international counterparts. · Knowledge of HR practices and principles. · Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail. · Skill and knowledge in the collection, analysis and determination of relative market value and application of quantitative salary and benefits survey data. · Must show ability in communicating effectively with all levels of employees both verbally and in writing, including top management, sufficient to provide information, interpret policy, and to justify & persuade others. · Skill in writing concise, logical, analytical reports and notes to justify compensation recommendations and decisions. · Ability to develop and implement action plans to address unique and unusual issues within compensation and benefits disciplines. · Proven team orientation and collaboration.
