Bookkeeper - Law Firm Experience RequiredLocation: New York, NYSalary: Up to $85,000 We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper with a background in law firm accounting to join our team. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this role is responsible for day-to-day bookkeeping, administrative tasks, and office facilities management. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of handling multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced legal environment. Key Responsibilities:General bookkeepingRecord journal entries, process invoices, and manage accounts receivable/payable.Banking & reconciliationsPerform bank deposits, credit card reconciliations, and vendor account setups.Vendor & billing managementCommunicate with vendors regarding billing matters and oversee account setup.Office administrationManage office supply purchases, coordinate with IT vendors, and liaise with building management.Event coordinationAssist with organizing and coordinating social events.Data managementMaintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards.Other accounting & administrative duties as required.Qualifications:Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent work experience).Minimum 2 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in a law firm or professional services settingProficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software.Strong Excel skills (ability to create formulas and manipulate data).Excellent verbal and written communication skillsHigh attention to detail and strong organizational skillsAbility to handle multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain confidentialityThis is an excellent opportunity to join a prestigious law firm and play a crucial role in its financial and operational success.
