PHARMACY TECH (NON-CERTIFIED)DEFINITION:Under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, provides technical support for the provision of pharmaceutical services to all age groups including adult, adolescent, pediatric and neonatal patients.REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS (IF APPLICABLE):Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy’s Technician Permit required within 120 days.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Prior hospital experienceHigh school diploma or equivalencyTechnical training or equivalent experience in a pharmacy.PHARMACY TECH (CERTIFIED)DEFINITION:Under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, provides technical support for the provision of pharmaceutical services to all age groups including adult, adolescent, pediatric and neonatal.REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS (IF APPLICABLE):Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy Technician Permit, or for newly permitted technicians, OSBP Technician Permit must be obtained within 120 days.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:National Certification at the time of hire, or an Associates Degree for an accredited University/Community College. Technical training or equivalent experience in a pharmacy.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:High school diploma or equivalency preferred.Prior hospital experience.#ZR
