Dry Plant Supervisor

They will provide oversight to all plant operations during their shift as well as support and assist process operators, lab technicians, and superintendents in daily plant activities.Key ResponsibilitiesAssure that new employees are tasked trained, have been assigned a mentor, and are wearing the required green hardhats until training is completeDirect supervision of heavy equipment operators, lab technicians, and process operators in both wet and dry plants. This includes: Managing absenteeism, tardiness, and any excused absencesBeing actively involved with timecard managementCoaching employees on how to improve their skill, behavior, and attitudeSetting goals for the team and individual goalsMain point of contact between their team and leadership such as plant manager, maintenance manager, superintendent, and assistant plant manager.Support process and maintenance teams with troubleshooting equipment issuesEnsure that crew prepares mobile equipment, locks/tags out, and removes guards, for maintenance to complete preventative maintenance and greasingEnsure that communication between shifts and Austin's control center is accurate and complete through crossover shift meetings with crew leaving/coming on shiftFollow through and document any requests made by HSE, HR, or ManagementHold full accountability and responsibility for crew members on shiftWork with maintenance to understand reliability needs and to schedule plant shutdowns for preventative maintenance measures and root cause analysisResponsible for Loadout and RFID tagsWith the help of Plant Manager, Maintenance Manager, Assistant Plant Manager, and Superintendents, build, update, and maintain SOPs for plant processesAssign work orders to complete tasks in the plant prioritized by safety, production, and preventative maintenance; this is coordinated through the maintenance supervisorWork with leadership on project planning and executionCommunicate the bigger pictureShow ownership and responsibility; follow up with crew and ensure that tasks are communicated and completed in a timely mannerFamiliar with MSHA rules and regulations and MSHA Part 46 certifiedResponsible for ensuring Workplace Exams are completed and signed off before each shiftEnsure the crew has appropriate PPE and tools needed to safely complete the jobIncident reporting: responsible for ensuring that incident reports are completed and submitted to HSE Representative Notify HSE and Plant Manager immediately following an incident or injuryArrange onsite, post-incident drug testing, if necessaryIncorporating and instilling safety talks and suggestions during shift crossover meetingsTask crew to find safety infractions and ways which they can mitigate any future infractionsReport any reasonable suspicion or violation of the Drug and Alcohol policy to HR, HSE, and Plant ManagerLOTO SignoffSafe Rack inspectionJob hazard analysis on work being completed in the fieldSmoke School, oil spill cleanup, and other trainingStop work policyPre/Post trip and workplace exam audit and follow upAll other duties as assignedQualificationsHigh School Diploma or GEDSupervisory or leadership experienceExperience with sand processing, mining, or bulk material handlingAbility to read and interpret documents and dataComputer skills – inputting data, reading charts, using MS Office (Teams, Mail, Word and Excel)Leadership and coaching skillsCommunicate effectively with reports and upper managementSolve problems and take initiative on safety and proceduresWritten and verbal communication skillsBasic math skillsWhat You'll Love About UsBest People and Team.
