Candidates cannot reside in MD, AK, or KSAbout the RoleWe're looking for an experienced AI Security Engineer to help design and implement security controls for AI and machine learning solutions in a modern cloud environment. This is a high-visibility role focused on securing AI systems across training, deployment, and inference - including Generative AI and agentic AI use cases.You'll work closely with senior security leaders and engineers to build a new AI security program from the ground up, helping define guardrails, architectures, and threat mitigation strategies in a rapidly evolving space.What You'll DoDesign and implement security controls for AI/ML pipelines, including training, evaluation, deployment, and inferenceBuild and maintain secure reference architectures for GenAI and ML solutionsDefine and enforce guardrails for agentic AI, including secure handling of prompts, embeddings, outputs, and conversation memoryIdentify and mitigate AI-specific threats such as:Prompt injection (direct & indirect)Data poisoning and training-time attacksModel inversion, extraction, and membership inferenceSensitive data leakage via prompts, logs, embeddings, or telemetryImplement identity, access, encryption, secrets management, and network segmentation for AI workloadsEvaluate and secure open-source LLMs and AI tools used in development environmentsPartner with application security and cloud teams to align AI security with enterprise standardsSupport incident response, monitoring, and security tooling optimizationCommunicate effectively with senior leaders, including Directors and the CISOWhat We're Looking ForRequired5+ years of cloud engineering experience, primarily in AzureStrong background in cybersecurity or information securityHands-on experience securing AI, ML, or data platformsKnowledge of risk management, threat modeling, and security architectureStrong communication skills and comfort engaging with senior stakeholdersNice to HaveExperience with AWS in addition to AzureFamiliarity with AI governance, supply chain security, or model riskExposure to Microsoft AI security controls or related toolingWhy This RoleHelp shape and secure a new AI security programHigh visibility with C-level leadershipWork in a cutting-edge, greenfield AI environmentFully remote with a highly collaborative teamBenefits (TEKsystems)Medical, Dental & Vision401(k) (Pre-Tax & Roth)Life Insurance & Disability CoverageHSA & Transportation BenefitsEmployee Assistance ProgramPaid Time Off / Sick Leave (eligibility based on assignment)Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Las Vegas, NV.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $80.00 - $90.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
