Ensuring temporary shelter, care, compassion, meals, and supervision are provided for up to six (6) Washington State foster care youth (12-17 years) and emerging adults (18-20 years) in emergency placement situations for a maximum of 60 days while awaiting placement.Oversee operations under The Salvation Army's mission statement and ministry to childrenSupervise and coordinate childcare workers and shift supervisorsCoordinate special needs of individual childrenEnsure implementation of program structureEnsure the physical needs of the program are metWith the support of the Human Resources, ensure recruitment needs are met for the program, including sorting candidates, scheduling and attending interviews, and recommending candidates for hireParticipate in new hire onboarding and ensure ongoing position specific training is providedConduct twice-monthly lead meetings and monthly staff meetingsComplete annual Focal Point Performance Reviews for all staffEnsure schedule aligns with licensing requirementsTo meet program needs, provide back-up for staff to ensure adequate coverageEnsure all employees' timecards are audited for errors and signed at the beginning of each weekParticipate in program on-call scheduleEnsure medical appointments are scheduled to meet all children's medical needsArrange transportation for children's appointments as neededMake arrangements to provide for the cultural needs of all childrenWork with the HEART program to ensure children are enrolled and attending schoolIntervene with DSHS, counselors, therapists, teachers, and parents when necessaryWork directly with DSHS regarding placement and movement of childrenReport incident reports and suspected abuse/neglect within licensing requirementsRefer children for counseling, developmental, psychological, medical, and dental servicesOversee contract and WAC compliance is maintained within programWork with DSHS Licensor, contract administrator and Health Dept for audits and compliance related itemsMaintain supply inventory as necessarySubmit repair requests to maintenanceConduct monthly fire drills and report results in writing per licensing requirementsCoordinate the use of facility space for maximum utilization and safetyAssist in development and recommend revisions of program and practicesReview, recommend, and revise program forms utilized by employeesPerforms other duties as assignedA bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and one (1) year of similar, full-time experience working with vulnerable youth populationsAn associate's degree from an accredited college or university and two (2) years of similar, full-time experience working with vulnerable youth populationsThree years of similar, full-time experience working with vulnerable youth populationsMust be at least 21 years of agePass a Criminal Background CheckPass a Washington State Background CheckPossess a valid Driver's License with clear driving record;
