Platform Developer
Oscar is working with a leading trading firm that is looking for an experienced Platform Developer to join their team.As the Platform Developer, you will be in a high-performance quantitative trading environment. In this role, you will work closely with the Quantic team to design, build, and maintain scalable platform infrastructure that powers advanced trading research and production systems.Key Responsibilities:Design, implement, and support scalable Linux-based platform infrastructureManage and troubleshoot Kubernetes and containerized environmentsDevelop infrastructure automation using Terraform and AnsibleBuild and maintain CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflowsSupport cloud migration and modernization initiativesMonitor platform health and performance using observability tools such as Grafana and PrometheusCollaborate closely with quantitative research and engineering teams to deliver reliable infrastructure solutionsDiagnose and resolve complex platform, compute, and data architecture issuesContribute to operational excellence, system reliability, and infrastructure scalabilityRequired Qualifications:5+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Systems AdministrationStrong expertise in Linux systems administration, including kernel diagnostics, LVM, hard/soft links, and containersHands-on experience with Kubernetes deployment, management, and troubleshootingExperience with Docker and/or Podman container platformsProficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and AnsibleExperience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows (ArgoCD preferred)Strong understanding of monitoring and observability tools, including Grafana and PrometheusPython scripting experienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical fieldPreferred Qualifications:Experience with OpenShiftFamiliarity with Apache Airflow, including DAG troubleshooting and maintenanceExposure to HPC technologies such as Slurm, Parallel Works, OpenPBS, or Corosync/PacemakerExperience with AWS and/or GCP cloud platformsKnowledge of Proxmox virtualizationExperience working in regulated or compliance-driven environmentsProgramming experience with Golang or Java/GradleRecap:Location: Boston, MA (Onsite)Type: Permanent FulltimeSalary: 200k-300k base + BenefitsIf you think you're a good fit for the role, we'd love to hear from you!
