DescriptionKSFL-TV, an independent locally owned TV station in Sioux Falls, South Dakota that is part of Forum Communications Company, is launching an exciting new daily news and sportscast and we’re looking for a driven, dynamic person to lead it. This is your chance to anchor, produce, and shape a show from the ground up. We’re searching for someone who thrives in both sports and news, is a natural storyteller, and who can own the screen and the rundown. This new, daily program, will be a fast-paced, 30 minute segment focused on local and regional news and sports, including local weather.What You’ll DoAnchor and produce a nightly live news and sports broadcastPlan daily coverage and build compelling rundownsWrite, shoot, and edit stories that connect with viewersConduct interviews and create engaging, original contentHelp shape the voice and identity of a brand-new programWhat We’re Looking ForProven experience producing in a commercial broadcast environmentStrong on-air presence with anchoring experienceA dynamic storyteller with excellent writing and communication skillsHighly organized, comfortable working independently and wearing multiple hatsPlay-by-play experienceStrong proficiency and knowledge in local sportsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism, Communications, or a related field preferred, or equivalent professional experienceMinimum of two years experience in commercial broadcasting requiredCandidates should possess and maintain a valid driver's license, acceptable level of insurance as required by the company, and a motor vehicle company that is insurable by the companyThis isn’t just another anchor job.
