Information Technology Application Development Manager (Atlanta)

We are seeking an experienced and strategic INFOR LX – IT Application & Development Manager to lead the development, support, and optimization of our Infor LX ERP environment and related IBM i (AS/400) systems. This role will oversee a team of developers, vendors, and consultants while partnering closely with business and IT leadership to deliver scalable, reliable, and value-driven technology solutions that support manufacturing operations.The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise in Infor LX, strong leadership capabilities, and a solid background in manufacturing processes including work orders, bills of materials, routing/work centers, inventory, and production operations.Key ResponsibilitiesLead, coach, and manage a team of developers, vendors, and consultantsOversee application development, support, maintenance, and enhancements for the Infor LX ERP platform and IBM i (IBMi/AS400) environmentAlign technology initiatives with business priorities, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budgetManage day-to-day system operations including system security, uptime, performance, backup, disaster recovery, and business continuityOwn and support custom development, integrations, interfaces, and the overall Infor LX technical ecosystemEstablish and maintain application development standards, governance processes, EDI policies, and best practicesBuild and maintain strong relationships with technology vendors, consultants, and service providersManage hardware, software, and support contracts related to enterprise applications and infrastructureDefine, monitor, and improve service level expectations and operational performance across the applications teamCollaborate with IT leadership and cross-functional business stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement and technology optimizationSupport manufacturing operations through ERP solutions that improve efficiency, visibility, and scalability.Required QualificationsMinimum of 7 years of hands-on experience with the Infor LX ERP system -(MUST HAVE INFOR LX OR INFOR XA.)Proven experience leading and managing technical teams, including developers, vendors, and external consultantsStrong expertise supporting and enhancing Infor LX within an IBM i (IBMi/AS400) environmentExperience overseeing ERP application development, integrations, and support operationsStrong background in manufacturing environments with knowledge of:Work ordersBills of materials (BOM)Routing and work centersProduction schedulingInventory and supply chain processesExperience managing ERP-related projects and technology initiativesStrong understanding of system security, backup/recovery, and operational support practicesExcellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience with EDI implementations and supportKnowledge of RPG, CL, SQL, or related IBM i development technologiesExperience integrating Infor LX with third-party applications and business systemsFamiliarity with manufacturing process improvement initiatives and operational workflowsBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related fieldKey CompetenciesERP leadership and strategyTeam development and mentorshipManufacturing systems expertiseVendor and project managementApplication development lifecycle managementProblem-solving and continuous improvementCross-functional collaboration and communicationWhy Join UsThis is an opportunity to play a critical leadership role in driving ERP strategy and operational excellence within a manufacturing-focused organization.
