Title: Senior Technical Product Manager - Product Software (Fleet Orchestration)Job Type: ContractContract Length: 6 monthsPay Range: $85 - $95/hrStart Date: ASAPLocation: Hybrid (3 days onsite per week)About The OpportunityOur client, a leader in the autonomous vehicle and robotics industry, is looking for a skilled Senior Technical Product Manager to join their team for a 6-month engagement. This is a critical and exciting time as the client expands its live service and fleet of autonomous robots to new customers and geographies. This role focuses on Fleet Orchestration Software, where you will define the systems that ensure the robots are in the right place at the right time to efficiently manage both customer rides and non-customer vehicle trips. You will be responsible for prioritizing and delivering the product roadmap that allows the client to hit key service and efficiency metrics.Key Responsibilities & DeliverablesThis role is focused on the successful completion of specific tasks and deliverables. Your responsibilities will include:Product Strategy: Help define the complex backend systems that ensure the robots are in the right place at the right time.Roadmap Management: Steward the software product line and curate its roadmap, prioritizing features and requirements to meet service and efficiency metrics.Stakeholder Alignment: Work closely with Engineering, Science, Technical Program Managers, and front-end Product Managers to refine and prioritize features and requirements.Metrics & Performance: Define, implement, and monitor metrics that measure the health and performance of these fleet orchestration systems.Collaboration & Influence: Drive collaboration, alignment, and affect outcomes using influence rather than formal authority within a complex organization.Required Skills & Experience:We are looking for someone with a proven track record of successful contract engagements. The ideal candidate will have:6 to 8 years of product management experience, with a Bachelor's Degree.2+ years as a product manager for complex backend software. This isn't a learning role—you need to be a subject matter expert.Direct experience with product-lifecycle management.A strong technical background, including the ability to learn and understand Software development concepts such as back-end systems, web apps APIs, and technical tradeoffs.Demonstrated ability to drive collaboration, alignment, and affecting outcomes with influence instead of authority.Bonus Qualifications:Experience stewarding products through their lifecycle in a relevant space (rideshare, supply chain, or inventory management).Experience in product management for science teams (e.g., operations research).Experience developing and executing long-term plans (1-3 years) in ambiguous spaces.Ability to deconstruct complex ideas and thrive in a growing, complex organization.W2 only (No C2C or 1099 contractors)
