This role will support a large-scale, enterprise-wide Databricks implementation, a flagship data modernization initiative designed to unify fragmented data systems across logistics, operations, finance, and commercial functions into a single, unified lakehouse platform. This program represents one of the most significant data investments this organization has undertaken and will have a direct impact on how data drives decisions across the business.The ideal candidate is a highly skilled data engineering professional with deep, hands-on experience in the Databricks ecosystem and a passion for building enterprise-scale lakehouse solutions. We are specifically seeking engineers who have delivered production Databricks environments and are ready to play a central role in shaping how this platform is architected and scaled. Candidates holding active Databricks certifications are strongly encouraged to apply.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ELT/ETL workflows within the Databricks platformBuild and optimize lakehouse architectures on Delta Lake to support enterprise analytics and operational reportingDevelop and tune Apache Spark jobs for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency across high-volume logistics dataCollaborate with cross-functional teams including analytics, data science, architecture, and business stakeholdersImplement data quality, governance, and performance optimization best practices within the Databricks environmentSupport migration and modernization efforts moving legacy data workloads onto the new Databricks platformWork with structured and unstructured logistics and supply chain data across multiple enterprise systemsContribute to enterprise data strategy, platform scalability, and engineering standards across the initiativeRequired Qualifications5+ years of experience in data engineering or related fieldsDeep hands-on expertise with Databricks, Delta Lake, and Apache SparkExperience building enterprise-scale data pipelines and distributed data processing solutionsProficiency in SQL and PythonExperience with modern cloud ecosystems such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud PlatformStrong understanding of data warehousing, data lakes, and lakehouse architecturesExperience working in large, complex enterprise environments with multiple data domainsExcellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skillsPreferred QualificationsDatabricks certification strongly preferredExperience within logistics, supply chain, transportation, or freight environmentsFamiliarity with Delta Live Tables, Databricks Asset Bundles, or MLflowExperience with CI/CD, DevOps, and infrastructure-as-code practicesExposure to real-time streaming and advanced analytics environmentsWhat We're Looking ForWe are looking for high-impact Databricks engineers who are energized by the opportunity to build something significant from the ground up within a Fortune 500 logistics environment.
