Whether you're joining our administrative team, a Club team, or our Camp Mendocino team, you'll be surrounded by enthusiastic, talented, and passionate colleagues who wake up every day ready to inspire young people to reach their full potential.PurposeUnder the direct supervision of the Club Services Administrator, the On-Call Youth Development Coordinator supports our Clubhouse by providing program and departmental support to Club Staff.This person will be running or supporting programs that engage youth ages 6-18 years of age and shall assume accountability for the results in achieving the outlined goals and objectives of those programs.Key ResponsibilitiesAs a On-Call Youth Development Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in shaping the lives of the youth in our community.Supervision & Safety: Ensuring a secure and supportive haven for young participantsProgram Facilitation: Co-facilitating engaging afterschool programs and activities for a group of approximately 10 youthMentoring: Serving as a positive role model and mentor to young participants, fostering their self-esteem and personal developmentMaintaining a Positive Environment: Cultivating a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere where every child feels valued and respectedTeam Collaboration: Collaborating with colleagues to ensure program goals are met and to share best practicesRequirementsMinimum RequirementsNo prior experience working with children required; a passion for working with youth is essentialPrevious work or volunteer experience ie: customer service, education, security, community programsDesire to co-facilitate or support teammates in program developmentProven communication, organizational, and self-starter abilityPreferred QualificationsCandidates with education or coursework in Early Childhood Development, Education, or related fields6 months of working in youth development settingCurrent Red Cross First Aid/CPR certification (or within 90 days of employment).Bilingual candidates are highly encouraged to applyPhysical RequirementsMust be able to lift 25 lbs.Must be able to stand for at least 2 hours consecutively.Must be able to sit at a computer workstation for long periods of time.Benefits401K + 7% Employer Contribution After One Year of ServiceEmployee Assistance Program: In-Person Counseling + 24/7 Confidential Mental Health SupportMandatory summer + winter Weeklong Organization-wide ClosuresProfessional Development OpportunitiesPayThe wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and BGCSF needs. At BGCSF, our decisions are based on other factors and dependent on circumstances for each position. Depending on the need and requirement of the position, an individual could be hired at or near the entry level, mid - level or top of the range for their role and compensation.
